Dale Finucane left Canterbury for Melbourne seeking more game time. Now the forward is one win away from a grand final appearance and is in the thick of it starring in the Storm pack.
The former Bulldog has struggled with a wrist injury but you wouldn’t know it the way he has been playing and has told Big League magazine he is enjoyed his time in the Victorian capital.
“I love it at the club,” Finucane said.
“They’ve been really accommodating in the playing group and the staff have helped me and made me feel welcome down in Melbourne.
“It’s been a really positive move for me, move from the club I was at previously.”
Finucane also defended his new club saying what they did at training was no different to any other club.
“It’s a bit weird because I don’t feel that the Melbourne Storm, as a club, do anything differently to any other side in the competition.
“It’s a bit disappointing that people criticise the way our team defends.”
