Former Canterbury captain Michael Ennis says the Bulldogs can be beaten if St George Illawarra are willing to flex their muscle.
“I think the Dogs with their really big forward pack, that can be their vulnerability,” Ennis said on Fox Sports’ 360.
“If the Dragons can fight fire with fire through the middle of their ruck they can gas those big guys.
“And then they need to control possession and complete really high.
“If they play that high completion rate footy and kick well and challenge their big guys they’ll give themselves every opportunity.
“But the Bulldogs look like a side that is waiting for the finals.”
Meanwhile, Ennis’ Sharks face off with South Sydney in the other elimination playoff this weekend.
“We’re a side that tried to put the game way and get the result too early, whereas this year we’ve been the team to grind out wins,” he said.
“I think we tried to force our hand too early and it got away from us. I think Gal [Paul Gallen] summed it up well for us, we know what sort of side we are and what sort of side we like to be.”
