Penrith coach Ivan Cleary says his team refused to grind out victory last night while also taking a shot winners at St George Illawarra.
“We didn’t respect the football enough,” Cleary said.
“I don’t think we were prepared to grind out a win. I’m not sure they were either.
“The first side who decided that’s the way, they were going to take that tact was the team who was going to win.
“They put in two good kick chases to trap us in goal, and pretty much got win from there.’’
