Australia’s youngest ever Kangaroo Sione Mata’utia has conceded he has work to do and the weekly grind of the NRL has come as a shock to the system.
“It’s been a tough season, and obviously my performance wasn’t really up to scratch from my point of view,” Mata’utia told the Newcastle Herald.
“It’s been a big lesson for me, and it’s a hard game week in, week out.
“It’s all about having a good performance and playing consistently week in, week out, and I haven’t been too good on that. So I’ve just got to work harder to become better.”
