Injured Warriors superstar Shaun Johnson has come out in defence of besieged coach Andrew McFadden saying McFadden should be given a chance to coach Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke in 2016.
“Cappy’s [McFadden] already made gains and he’s got two of New Zealand’s best players coming to the club next year (Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke) and that’s pretty hard to do,” Johnson said on New Zealand’s Radio Sport.
“People have just got to be a bit patient.
“Although we had big hopes for this year, things change and things happen, and you’ve just got to roll with it and that’s all we’re doing at the moment.
“It’s just unfortunate that we’re not getting those wins to show how hard we’re working.”
