One of modern rugby league’s greatest centres Justin Hodges has announced his retirement and will gunning for a grand final birth in his final season with the Brisbane Broncos.
Hodges had earlier this year stepped down from State of Origin duties with Queensland and will now be hoping his final match in the NRL is at ANZ Stadium on grand final day.
“I just want to thank my family and friends, all the coaches, staff and past teammates at the Broncos, and all the fans for the support they have given me over my career,” Hodges said today.
“I just feel now is the right time to announce this so the team and I can concentrate on playing our best football for the Broncos for the rest of the season.”
Hodges represented Australia, Queensland and won grand finals with the Broncos and the Sydney Roosters.
