Canterbury captain James Graham says you need four forwards on the bench in the playoffs meaning one of Moses Mbye, Josh Reynolds or Trent Hodkinson might be dropped if the Bulldogs make September.

“It’s a situation that most clubs would love to be in, to have three really, really good halves all vying for two spots,” Graham said on NRL 360.

“But three doesn’t go into two. I don’t really think the way the game is now that we can afford to carry one on the bench.

“It’s a luxury – most weeks it’s not going to work for you. I think you need four forwards on the bench.”
