Former players have had their say on the Robbie Farah saga that continues to entangled itself with the embattled Wests Tigers club.
Speaking on Fox Sports’ NRL 360 last night, ex-North Sydney Bear and Brisbane Bronco Ben Ikin came out swinging in the defence of the Tigers captain.
“He’s the club captain,” Ikin said.
“He’s got a right, more than anyone in that organization, anyone, to feel a strong attachment to the Wests Tigers and their future.
“More than any other single person working there today.
“He’s got two years remaining, he’s got a contract, it’s legal.”
Outgoing Manly coach Geoff Toovey also spoke on the programme.
“It’s a fact that there’s a big disturbance in the culture and the mojo in the club, and that happens at every club from time to time,” Toovey said.
“It’s difficult if there’s angst in there or internal fighting.
“I don’t know what is going on at the Tigers, but Robbie has been a part of success there in the past, so it’s going to be difficult.”
