Queensland utility Michael Morgan is in career-best form and poses a legitimate threat on the bench tonight for the Maroons.
And there’s more good news for Morgan with his club team North Queensland offering the five-eight a brand new three-year contract.
“You don’t play State of Origin by fluke and without a tremendous amount of ability,” Cowboys football manager Peter Parr told nrl.com.
“Off course he’s only a young man and he’s already played about 70 NRL games, he’s played three State of Origins, finals footy and scored a hat-trick in a finals game.
“You would have to say that he has developed really well and if we weren’t happy with where his development was, we wouldn’t have offered him a three-year deal.
“We’re delighted with the way he’s going and we think that once he comes back from Origin, he has the potential to keep improving.”
