The New Zealand Warriors are the real deal after an impressive win over the Melbourne Storm.
Former Storm halfback Brett Kimmorley had nothing but admiration for the Kiwis who ran out 28-14 winners.
“The try that sealed the win for the Warriors was amazing. The play where Nathan Friend threw the ball through his legs and he flicked the ball out for Tomkins — it was the Warriors’ own special brand” Kimmorley wrote for foxsports.com.au.
“Everyone knows that they can play adlib football but they looked like they had more control and structure. Bodene Thompson is going very well for them, but the biggest thing for them was to win was without Manu Vatauvei and Ryan Hoffman. They are two important senior players, so it was an enormous win.”
