Good news for Melbourne and Queensland fans, Cooper Cronk is back on the training field.

Speaking on Sterlo On The Couch, Cronk says he has begun rehabilitating and is hoping to return for State of Origin III.

“With the game on Monday night [against Bulldogs] and Origin around the corner I need to start ticking some boxes,” Cronk said.

“I started limping around the paddock today. I got through a few passes on the fitness test today.

“I won’t make any rash decisions on my health and wellbeing.”

“It’s a possibility [Origin]” Cronk said.

“Am I a chance? Yes. Am I guaranteed? Not really.

“The swelling in my knee has gone down. All that’s left is I need to do those movements which put my knee joint at risk.”
