The NSW Blues team has been announced for Origin II at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with little surprises.

Brett Morris re-joins the teams after his heroics in 2014 while skipper Paul Gallen is back at lock, pushing Josh Jackson back to the bench and Cronulla prop Andrew Fifita out of the side.

“Robbie [Farah] will train on Wednesday with the rest of the group” coach Laurie Daley said at the announcement.

“He’s an experienced campaigner and will train with the group on Wednesday and Thursday.”

Daley also talked about the legendary MCG.

“Not many of these players have ever played at the MCG. It’s a fantastic ground and they’ll look back on it in years to come and remember that they played on a great ground.”

The Maroons announced their squad later in the day with Cooper Cronk ruled out and Daly Cherry-Evans coming straight into the team while Josh Papalii and Korbin Sims will train with the squad in the lead-up to Origin II.
