James Hooper says the whispers of Gold Coast star Greg Bird following Nate Myles to Manly in 2016 won’t go away.

Speaking on Triple M Saturday, Hooper reckons Bird could be the next superstar to exit the Titans.

“It started bubbling when there was initial issues up at the Gold Coast Titans with Birdy when he was on those charges,” Hooper said.

“It was bubbling again in Origin camp before Game One and I’ve been told as recently as this morning that it could still be on.”

It would be another dire blow for the struggling club who have already lost Myles, Aidan Sezer and the reneging Daly Cherry-Evans.
