The Brisbane Broncos are buying into what Wayne Bennett is selling and it was never as evident as Monday night’s upset win over the Newcastle Knights.
“The more players you have missing the more vulnerable you become,” Bennett said.
“That in my mind made the victory even better the fact we had so many players out.
“They had some missing too so I’m not living in fools’ paradise but the end result is we can only manage what we’ve got.
“We’re building a system and a club that is not about an individual it’s about the whole club.
Bennett was also impressed by young gun Anthony Milford and his combination with centre Jack Reed.
“Anthony is a very talented player and he is getting Jack a lot of good ball so that is good.
“They exploited it which was good, that is what you want your players to do.”
