Wests Tigers believe that their heartbreaking 25-24 loss to the Bulldogs last week Will give them an edge over rivals Parramatta on Monday.
Despite the Eels upsetting premiers South Sydney last round, Tigers flyer Kevin Naiqama believes Wests have the edge.
“That loss burns inside you and it makes you want to train harder for the week ahead,” Naiqama said.
“You don’t want to feel that feeling anymore so you do everything you can to avoid it.
“In Round 1 we were on the other side of that feeling and it was awesome, and being on the other side last week, you obviously take a lot out of it.”
“We did lose, but we’re not going to put our heads down about it. It’s back to the drawing board for us and making sure that we’re ready to go come Monday.”
