Rise and Fall and Rise Again of Kangaroo Dugan Complete

Australian debutant Josh Dugan has seen the bottom and now know what it feels like to be at the top. But the St George Illawarra fullback says playing wing for the Kangaroos won’t be a difficult shift.

“I don’t think it’s too much different to playing centre and when it comes down to it, you’ve got the kick returns like full-back – two positions I feel like I can play pretty good at,” Dugan told ABC Grandstand.

“For me personally it’s about learning as much as I can this week from the people around me, taking it all in and getting as much information as I can and taking it out there on Friday night.”

Dugan also admitted he thought he may never wear the green and gold jumper.

“To be honest, there was times there where I was worried about whether I was ever going to play footy again.

“And to get that second opportunity with the Dragons, I was never going to let it slide and that lesson that I learned from that mistake is something that has grown me as a person and as a player.”
