Three of the NRL’s premier forwards are at the crossroads with Australian representatives Paul Gallen, Nate Myles and Beau Scott deep in contract discussions with current and rival clubs.
Cronulla’s legendary leader Gallen has remarkably not even begun negotiations with the club despite making it clear he wants to stay in the Sutherland Shire. It is believed that the deal will be done but is being drawn out due to club management prioritizing other ongoing situations.
Former Sharks team-mate, Newcastle’s Scott, is rumoured to have already signed a deal to join the Parramatta Eels from 2016.
Scott has a get-out clause in his contract and wants to return to Sydney on compassionate grounds. The Picton junior will join superstars Anthony Watmough and Kieran Foran at the Eels.
In another curveball from an NRL club, the Gold Coast Titans have declined a one year extension for current captain Nate Myles.
It’s believed Myles will make a decision in the coming weeks.
