Manly Sea Eagles CEO Joe Kelly believes there could be a conflict of interest between the Gold Coast Titans and their negotiations with Manly half Daly Cherry-Evans after the NRL took ownership of the club.

“I believe there needs to be greater transparency in these line of discussions,” Kelly told The Daily Telegraph.

“We have the game’s administrators also acting as owner of a club.

“I have sought clarification from the NRL in regards to this matter. I think the incumbent club needs to be informed of these events.

“It creates a potential conflict of interest, without knowing all the facts.”
