Former Warriors and Eels coach Daniel Anderson in stable condition after suffering cardiac arrest while surfing

Former New Zealand Warriors and Parramatta Eels head coach Daniel Anderson is recovering in hospital after a surfing incident over in Christmas.

Anderson – who took the Warriors to the grand final in 2002 and Eels in 2009 – was celebrating with family was taken by paramedics after an accident while body surfing. According to the Sydney Morning Herald – the Sydney Roosters recruitment manager was hit on the neck by a big wave and reportedly had a cardiac arrest.

The great footy mind was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital and is in a stable condition.
