Canberra Raiders halfback George Williams will skipper England for the first time in the team’s World Cup warm-up match against Fiji in Salford on Friday night local time.

Williams replaced Sam Tomkins who is being rest from the match.

“It’s something that I’ll cherish and I’m really looking forward to leading this great group out,” Williams said.

The England versus Fiji match is being streamed via the RLWC 2021 app.
