South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell has called out Sydney Roosters fans after last Friday night’s blockbuster opening to Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

The two teams will do it again this Sunday afternoon in week one of the finals.

But Latrell wasn’t too happy with the crowd that packed the rocking stadium.

“(Crowd booing) once or twice (is okay) or when I’m kicking goals, definitely,” Mitchell told media on Tuesday.

“But every run? It was disappointing.

“You saw it with big Nelson (Asofa-Solomona) and the Parramatta supporters. It’s shit, to be honest.

“Adam Goodes (AFL player) gave up his career because of it. It’s not nice. We cop it every day as it is.”

But a source close to the situation has told The81stMinute.com that Mitchell should be reminded that others were jeered just as loud last Friday.

“Latrell Mitchell has selective hearing,” the source said.

“Yeah the Roosters fans got stuck into him but the South Sydney fans were booing Matt Lodge and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves just as hard.

“Latrell needs to think before he speaks.”

The crowd will be ready to go again this Sunday – for both sides.

Trent Robinson’s Roosters are flying while Souths have spluttered to a 2-3 record in the last five weeks.
