Boss of Sydney Football Stadium ‘over the moon’ at new precinct as Roosters and Rabbitohs looms

The new Sydney Football Stadium – currently known as Allianz Stadium – is ready for the blockbuster showdown this Friday between old foes Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Roosters.

So much history and it all begins again at Moore Park this weekend.

“I am absolutely over the moon, it’s got all of what we wanted in it, we’ve put years and years of experience into the design, it’s all been designed and built with the fans in mind,” SCG Trust chairman Tony Shepherd told SEN.

“The fans want quick services for food and beverage, they want adequate toilets, easy movement around the ground and access, that’s what we’ve designed the stadium to do. Of course we’ve looked after the most important people there, the sports people who play there, the change rooms and their facilities are world-class. Finally we’ve got the right facilities for female stars as well, which is long overdue.”

The Roosters currently sit 6th and Rabbitohs 7th ahead of their showdown.
