Damien Cook will be the New South Wales Blues dummy half for State of Origin on June I according to his former coach Anthony Seibold.

Speaking on SEN on Tuesday, Seibold believes that while the Rabbitohs have struggled so far in 2022, Cook will fire alongside some of the biggest names in the NRL.

“Although South Sydney have been disappointing, Damien is still a spark and a threat coming out of dummy half,” he said.

“Playing with more elite players will also get the most out of Damien Cook. ‘Freddie’ Fittler will go with Cooky at number 9. Api Koroisau has been consistent over the last couple of years. It will be interesting to see if Freddie goes with a genuine number 9 on the bench or whether he goes down that utility route at the number 14.”
