Ray Blacklock passes away aged 65 after long battle with illness

Much-loved former star Ray Blacklock has passed away aged 65 after a long battle with cancer.

Blacklock began his career at the Penrith Panthers where he spent five seasons in the top grade before stints at Newtown and Canberra.

The Oberon winger started for the Jets in the 1981 grand final against Parramatta.

He is the uncle of Dragons legend Nathan Blacklock.
