Canberra centre Curtis Scott is preparing to sue NSW Police for more than $100,000 in damages after being wrongfully charged with several counts including assaulting police.

Scott was arrested on Australia Day after a drinking session with friends but it has recently been revealed that Scott was not in the wrong and was in fact assaulted by police.

The charges were dismissed when footage from officer’s body-cameras were made public where Scott was tasered and hit in the face with pepper spray.

Scott had been sleeping in Moore Park when police approached.
