Tevita Pangai Junior doesn’t fit our ‘mould’ of player: Trent Robinson

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has hit Tevita Pangai Junior with a cracking short jab when asked about the troubled star on Wednesday.

Pangai Junior is set to be sacked by the Brisbane Broncos according to reports but Robinson was quick to pour water on the fire that TPJ was on his way to Bondi.

“No he won’t be at the Roosters,” Robinson said.

Pangai Junior recently confirmed he had called Roosters chairman Nick Politis and then broke Broncos ranks and COVID-19 protocols by attending a tattoo shop opening.

“I don’t know what’s going on up there but we’ve worked really hard – as you can see – for the type of player that we want,” he said.

“And he’s not going to fit that mould.”
