Melbourne Storm Cameron Smith says his team’s 64-10 demolition of Parramatta earlier in the year has been forgotten as they prepare to face the firing Eels this weekend at AAMI Park.

The Eels destroyed Brisbane 58-0 in week one of the finals with the winner this weekend going on to play the Sydney Roosters in a preliminary final.

“I don’t feel Parramatta played anywhere near their best that night,” Smith said.

“We were on and everything went our way that night and Parramatta didn’t have a lot of opportunity.

“It would be pointless to think we are going to get a result or game like that one.”

Smith has earmarked Parramatta halfback Mitch Moses as the Blue & Gold’s most important attacking cog.

“He will certainly come down with a lot of confidence – he’s one of a lot of dangerous attackers in their footy side but he will be touching the footy a fair bit so we will have a look at him.”

South Sydney clash with Manly in the other semi-final.
