‘We can play much better’: Roosters legend says club has a few more gears in run to finals

Sydney Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello has told concerned Tricolours fans to stress less as the defending premiers prepare for the most important rounds of the season.

The Roosters are yet to find consistent form as coach Trent Robinson has decided to rotate his roster and rest star players.

Robinson’s team still sit 3rd.

“We’ve got a few niggling injuries at the moment but we still haven’t hit top gear yet,” Minichiello told Macquarie Sports Radio.

“It’s not worrying signs, last season we started off the season (slowly) and then built into that.

“There’s still five games to go until the finals and we know we can play much better football.

“We just need to keep ticking off the wins.”

The Roosters host the battling Gold Coast this weekend.
