Penrith Panthers star Waqa Blake will join arch enemies Parramatta from 2020 on a four-and-a-half year but won’t pull on an Eels jersey until at least round 20 due to a knee injury.

The news was first tweeted on Wednesday morning by Channel Seven’s Michelle Bishop.

Blake joins fellow local talent Dallin Watene-Zalezniak out the door at Penrith with DWZ recently linking with Canterbury.

Incredibly, Blake only just signed a four-year extension at the Panthers in October last year.

“Panthers is home for me now and I really couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else,” Blake said at the time.

Blake was recently dropped from the top side for showing up late to training.
