Former Kangaroos halfback says Broncos have all the ingredients to win the premiership

He has won a premiership as a player and sits on the Penrith Panthers board but club legend Greg Alexander says his former side can’t win the premiership.

The retired Australian playmaker also put a line through the St George Illawarra Dragons and Penrith Panthers but made the bold claim Brisbane could actually win the title.

“I think Brisbane with their forward pack, with their bench, with their outside backs, with Darius Boyd finding form is important. They could possibly win the comp,” Alexander told Fox Sports.

Alexander said the Panthers were little hope unless they turned it around tomorrow night against Melbourne at AAMI Park.

“Unless Penrith shows something Friday night against the Storm they will battle to win the competition.”

Penrith’s job became easier when news broke on Thursday morning of Billy Slater’s omission to tend to a family emergency.
