State of Origin II hammers Socceroos World Cup match in social media interactions

This proves just how massive State of Origin is. According to Nielsen’s social media ratings, Origin Game II social interactions hammered Australia versus Denmark in the FIFA World Cup.

Nielsen reports over 310,000 people around the country posted about the Origin clash at ANZ Stadium which saw New South Wales take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

It beat interactions for the Socceroos match by a whopping 162,000 with the World Cup match finishing with a tick over 148,000.

The Socceroos versus France game which kicked off at the earlier time of 8pm also only pulled in 171,000 interactions.

The AFL game between West Eagles and Essendon finished in third with 65,000 interactions.
