Col Pearce – Referee – 1917-2004
Long before Bill Harrigan, there was Col Pearce. A consummate professional, Pearce lived the rules of rugby league and amassed 343 first grade games and countless representative matches before retirement. Pearce commanded respect and got it because of the respect he gave to the players.

Rex Mossop – TV Commentator/Player – 1928-2011
”Too many Australian men are pathetic specimens: short of wind, flabby, beer-gutted and most of them, too weak to knock a sick girl off a toilet.” That was Mossop in 1991 – imagine what he’d think today. Rex was a dual International most remembered for his provocative commentary in his post-playing days. Mossop’s voice can be heard as the lead call in countless big games throughout the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s.

Ken Kearney – Player – 1924-2006
‘Killer’ Kearney was a ruthless tactician and played a major part in St George’s historic 11-year premiership run – captaining them to 6 straight titles and coaching them to another later in 1963. Another dual International, Kearney also coached Western Suburbs, Parramatta and Cronulla.
