Craig Bellamy could be on his way to the Gold Coast Titans in 2019 according to News Corp journalist Paul Kent.
“There is a bit of a whisper that Bellamy no longer has the control,” Kent told Fox Sports’ NRL 360 on Tuesday.
“Now that Melbourne are privately owned and they are very careful about their bottom line and no longer owned by News Limited, some of the free spending that went on there before no longer exists.
“Some of the decisions that he has wanted as far as performance units and signing players, that club has been a little bit frugal, and because of that, Bellamy’s a little bit at odds with the club.
“I won’t say that is fact, I’ll just say that that is going around the game which could be leading to this story that Bellamy might be giving the Titans a chance to listen.”
A move back to Queensland where his family lives would give the legendary coach a chance to be closer to home.
