Power shift swinging in Blues favour but QLD still have enough to win: Kimmorley

Former New South Wales halfback Brett Kimmorley says  the Blues must win a series decider to break the shackles of a fading Queensland era of dominance.

“It should be a cracking game, with the Maroons having a backs-against-the-wall mentality coupled with farewelling a couple of their superstars,” Kimmorley wrote on ESPN.com.au.

“The Blues on the other hand are on the verge of a changing of the guard power shift, which we have already seen through their forward dominance.

“They have certainly narrowed the gap between the two teams and they just need to win a close series like this to give them confidence moving forward. Remember, the only series the Blues have won in recent memory, they did so by winning the first two games.

“They have to prove to themselves that they can win the big pressure matches against a team which might be fading, but has all the experience when it comes to performing under pressure.”
