Des Hasler praises utility gun Gutherson ahead of Eels clash at ANZ Stadium

Canterbury coach Des Hasler has praised Parramatta’s Clint Gutherson ahead of their clash at ANZ Stadium tonight.

Gutherson has been one of the Eels best in 2017 and has seemingly found a home at fullback after playing right across the Parramatta backline since joining the club.

“.. I’ve been particularly impressed with their back five and Clint Gutherson back at one,” Hasler said.

“He’s always been a really good player, but the way he’s grown this year, he’s really turning into a consistent first-grader.”

The Eels sit in 8th position but a win against the Bulldogs will put the Canterbury club six competition points behind the top 8.
