Daley defends his Blues after Fittler claims NSW lack killer instinct to win series

Laurie Daley has defended his New South Wales team after fellow Blues legend Brad Fittler made the claim that this NSW team lacked the killer instinct to win the State of Origin series.

The Blues gave up a 10 point lead in Game II which would have secured them the series.

Now NSW must win a second match in Brisbane to bring the shield back south.

“We’ve certainly got it (killer instinct),” Daley said on Fox Sports’ NRL360 on Monday.

“Whether we displayed it the other night, that’s Freddie’s opinion and he’s entitled to it.

“We certainly showed a killer attitude in game one, and we did it in the first 40 minutes in game two.”
