Ruthless Rabbitohs fighting for starting spots ahead of opening round grudge match

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Zane Musgrove says competition for spots is driving the Bunnies ahead of round one.

The Rabbitohs hammered St George Illawarra in the annual Charity Shield at the weekend and are now preparing for an opening round clash against new recruit Robbie Farah’s old side, Wests Tigers.

“The atmosphere is good,” Musgrove told rabbitohs.com.au.

“It’s a very competitive environment, everyone’s competing for their spot in the team. It’s good, I’m excited, everyone’s excited about the season.

“The team’s focus is probably just everyone doing their job and focused on what they need to do to perform for the team.”

Souths turned the clock back to 2014 at the weekend where they thrashed the Dragons 32-14 at ANZ Stadium.
