Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk headline a star-studded Melbourne Storm outfit for their trial clash against Canterbury in Hobart this weekend.

Coach Craig Bellamy has named thirteen players from the team that appeared in the 2016 grand final but Billy Slater has not been named.

Cameron Munster will also get first shot at five-eigth after Blake Green’s defection to Manly.

It’s the NRL’s first match in Hobart since the Storm played the Brisbane Broncos in 2012.

Their opponents the Bulldogs have named their strongest side possible with Moses Mbye, Josh Reynolds, the Morris twins and skipper James Graham making the trip to Tasmania.

“The people of Tasmania love their sport, we received plenty of strong support on our last trip to Hobart,” Storm Football Director Frank
Ponissi said.

“Being our final hit out before Round 1 Saturday’s match is vital to our preparations for the new year.”

The match kicks off at 4.30pm and will also be streamed on the Bulldogs website.

Raiders v Knights trial will be streamed this Saturday on raiders.com.au with kick-off at 6.30pm
