Hunt says there’s plenty of improvement left in combo with Milford

Brisbane Broncos halfback Ben Hunt says there is still improvement in himself and in his combination with star five-eigth Anthony Milford.

The Broncos began 2016 as premiership favourites but a losing run through the year saw them finish in the bottom four of the top 8.

Hunt, who’s yet to re-sign with the club believes there is more to be done.

“I maybe took a bit of a back seat to ‘Milf’ but I couldn’t really put my finger on it during the year, what was happening, I just seemed to be fading out of games a bit,” said Hunt.

“I’m still trying to work most of it out to be honest. Now and then in games I’d go missing for 15 minutes and after the game I’d realised what had happened.

“It’s something I’ve got to fix.”

Many good experts believe Hunt never fully recovered from his error in the 2015 grand final which led to Johnathan Thurston’s match-winning field goal.
