Michael Ennis will be back at Cronulla in 2017 despite retiring after the Sharks fairy tale grand final victory on Sunday night.
The now-retired hooker will mentor the next generation of rakes that includes Nu Brown, Manaia Cherrington and Jayden Brailey.
“All the little things he does go unnoticed – his kick pressure, his line speed,” coach Shane Flanagan said.
“They call him ‘The Menace’ but most of that stuff is from being aggressive and putting teams under pressure, all the things people don’t want to do.
“His influence on some of our younger kids will be massive.”
