Green credits time with Wigan for rise as dominant five-eigth

Melbourne storm five-eigth Blake Green says he feels like he’s been at the club a lot longer than two seasons and it’s because of his time spent at Wigan under Michael Maguire.

Maguire was an understudy at the Storm before making his name as a coach at Wigan and South Sydney.

“Even though I’ve only been here for two years it feels like I’ve been here longer because Michael Maguire went over to Wigan and took a fairly similar blueprint over there,” Green told foxsports.com.au.

“So, you know, my understanding of how to build success in teams is based on that. It’s based on hard work and repetition and being consistent.”
