Premiership-winning Brisbane Broncos legend Kerrod Walters says the Broncos can win the title from outside the top four.

Speaking to Commentary Box Sports, Walters was adamant Brisbane could do something similar to what his 1993 Broncos side did when they won the premiership from fifth place and had to win four straight finals matches to claim the trophy.

“I think they can win it,” Walters said.

“They’ve had an up and down year, but I just think when they’re at their best they’re going to be hard to beat.

“I remember in ’93 we had to come from fifth to do it, sudden-death, but each week we just found something and we won it.”
