Stuart not looking passed Cronulla despite massive win over Souths

Canberra legend and current coach Ricky Stuart isn’t thinking about a top four finish just yet despite annihilating South Sydney by fifty points on Sunday afternoon.

“Timing is a big thing in this competition,” Stuart said.

“I know that things can turn very nasty on you very quickly.

“I am very fortunate that the players are buying in and that is a big thing.”

The coach is only thinking a week ahead to competition leaders Cronulla in a huge showdown that may well define the Raiders season.

“They dusted us up and bashed us around last game 40 or 50 points,” he said.

“They have got a class team, they are going very well and they deserve to be where they are.

“If we can keep within those points I think there is improvement there in us.”
