Tigers cub Luke Brooks hits back at critics of contract negotiations

Wests Tigers’ young half Luke Brooks has hit out at critics of Brooks and Mitchell Moses’ decision to put off contract extension talks with the club despite being off contract at the end of the season.

Both Brooks and Moses came under fire from supporters at certain stages of last year which was a difficult one for the club.

“It can be a bit frustrating when people say stuff when they don’t know what’s going on but it’s a part of being an NRL player,” Brooks told NRL.com.

“You just have to put up with it.

“It’s not off-putting. I haven’t thought about it too much, I’ve just been concentrating on playing well in the trials and just getting ready for the start of the season.”

Brooks will miss Wests’ round one clash against the Warriors due to suspension.

“They’re looking to Round 1 at the moment so it has been hard to watch training from the sidelines.”
