As the years tick by and the NRL seasons fly passed, more and more players are checking out the grass on the other side.

PAUL GREEN

5 GAMES

A Rothmans Medal winner with the Cronulla Sharks, Green left for North Queensland in the late 1990’s before also linking with the Roosters, Parramatta and eventually Brisbane.

 

 

MOTU TONY

3 GAMES

Tony joined Brisbane from the Warriors but only managed three games before being released to head to England.

 

 

RUSSELL BAWDEN

2 GAMES

Best remembered as a bustling Melbourne forward, Bawden made his debut with the Broncos in 1994.

 

 

NATHAN FRIEND

1 GAME

Friend starred in one of the game’s great tries in 2015. Friend played 100 games for the Titans and 34 for the Storm. Prior to that however, he played one game for the Broncos in 2002.

 

 

BERRICK BARNES

9 GAMES

Barnes began his football career with Brisbane in 2005. However after only nine games, the talented playmaker switched codes linking up with the Queensland Reds.

 

 

SHANE TRONC

22 GAMES

A cult hero at the Cowboys, the huge prop played 22 games for Brisbane between 2010 and 2011.

 

 

ROBBIE ROSS

12 GAMES

A Newcastle junior, Ross moved away from the Hunter to Brisbane in 1996 and then back to the Mariners in 1997 before winning a title with the Storm in 1999.

 

 

ANDREW LOMU

1 GAME

Lomu appeared in two grand finals for the Roosters and went on to play for both Cronulla and Canberra. Lomu played one game for the Broncos, finishing his career, in 2007.

 

 

CHRIS MCKENNA

13 GAMES

McKenna played for eight clubs in his professional career across Australia and the United Kingdom. The former State of Origin utility began his career however at Brisbane.
