Smith, Slater and Cronk Could be NRL Coaches After Retirement

Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy says the ‘Big Three’ could all make it as coaches in the National Rugby League when their respective times in the competition as players comes to an end.

“They all could,” Bellamy said on Fox Sports’ NRL 360.

“I’m not too sure if they’re interested at that as a head coach.

“The whole three of them read the game so well.

“If one was going to be a fulltime coach I’d think Cooper is the one most likely but in saying that he hasn’t shown a whole lot of interest.

“Even if they don’t go into coaching we’d like to keep them here as specialist coaches.

“They’re probably three of the best coaches in the place that we’ve got.”

Bellamy is yet to finalise his future post-2016.

Melbourne play North Queensland tomorrow night at AAMI Park for a spot in the 2015 grand final.
