Johnathan Thurston has extended his lead atop the Ultimatesportsmemorabilia.com.au Player of the Year leaderboard, polling two votes in North Queensland’s big victory over Parramatta on Monday night.

In another twist of fate coming out of round 20, Thurston’s closest challenger Shaun Johnson hurt his ankle and has been ruled out for five months leaving Brisbane Anthony Milford’s to take up the chase. Milford also polled two votes in round 20 with his halves partner Ben Hunt named man of the match.

Brett Stewart is the biggest mover though with his man of the match, moving up to 17 points alongside Blake Austin.
