Fittler Says Young Tigers Don’t Trust Each Other

Legendary five-eight Brad Fittler believes the Wests Tigers’ woes are stemming from a lack of trust in their defensive systems.

“What I’m finding is their defence can be poor,” Fittler told Sportsfan.com.au prior to their loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

‘We saw last week [David] Nofoaluma [against Manly] made a couple of really bad reads.

‘There’s a lack of trust, and that’s got to be built over time.”

Fittler expects better from the young Tigers in 2016.

“I know these blokes have all come together just over the last 12 months.

“Another off-season, get a bit bigger, get a bit stronger, get a bit more confident, [and] maybe they’re the people for the job.

“[In] another 12 months, they’ve got to be doing better than they are.”
