Queensland Origin great Michael Crocker is happy for those south of the border to write off the Maroons.

“They’re all in form – every one of them,” Crocker told Sportsfan Clubhouse.

“Cooper Cronk and Cam Smith were the two best players on the field down in Melbourne on the weekend. Billy Slater wasn’t far off .

“Sam Thaiday, since Wayne [Bennett] put him on notice, has been one of the Broncos’ best.

“Johnathan Thurston is probably leading the Dally M points, the way he’s playing.”

“So they’re all players in form and I’m looking forward to it.”

“There’s been lots of deflection from north of the border about the fact that we [Queensland] are too old, and the dynasty’s over – which plays perfectly into Queensland’s hands because, as everybody knows, we love the underdog tag.”
