Gold Coast recruit Daly Cherry-Evans spoke to the media this morning at Manly training hitting out at reports he wanted to stay at the Sea Eagles.
The halfback read from a statement but did not take questions.
“I understand speculation will continue until round 13 but from my end there’s nothing to report and I don’t think there’ll be anything to report for the rest of the season in regards to changes to my contract,” Cherry-Evans said.
“With that being said, the way I was treated over the weekend by some media outlets was extremely disappointing.
“I understand as a professional athlete media have a right to me, but I don’t believe they have a right to my family’s privacy and the way that they were treated over the weekend is extremely disappointing.”
